Hungry Jack’s ‘Bad Burger’ - Quad Stacker Burger

September 11, 2008 – 10:33 am

Quad burgerNegative publicity from health experts about a “monstrous” four-patty burger has apparently only fuelled demand for the 4520Kj snack, which has gone on sale in Australia this week.

The burger has more than 70g of fat and over 4520Kj (1000 calories) – half the daily recommended calorie intake for a woman and nearly one-third for a man. (That doesn’t include the calories from the fries and drink!)

The burger sells for $5.95 and has just started being promoted on television.

In addition to its high fat and sugar levels, the burger has more than 1,900 milligrams of sodium.

So if anyone wants to bulk up - head over to Hungry Jacks and get one of these manly beasts every lunch time! But to be fair, they’re only doing what “health” food companies do. Advertise something different.

Companies slap ‘low fat’ or ‘low carb’ etc on their food - it makes it sell. The men behind Hungry Jacks have slapped ‘completly unhealthy’ around, with an advertising campaign probably aimed at men. Its new, and so it works. They have been selling ALOT!
